There are several components involved in determining the total price of your new house from preparing your land to building your house.
Before we build your new house, we must first remove your old house and prepare your lot for construction. The typical cost for this preparation is $100,000 to $150,000. This price range is fairly broad because every lot is different, and the condition of your specific property will determine your cost. RSI will provide you with a Home Improvement Contract that will detail everything needed to prepare your land and construct your new house. Variables may include site surveys, architectural drawings, soil tests, landscaping issues, grading, drainage considerations, utility connections, and city requirements and approvals. Expert engineer consultants will inspect your lot to determine what expenses you can expect. Once all permits and approvals have been secured and the existing house is vacant, we will remove the old structure and any hazardous materials. We then prep the site and begin vertical construction on your new house. Vertical construction means building every bit of the house from the foundation up – the floor, walls, roof, and every beautiful detail in between. This vertical construction has a predictable, fixed cost, depending on the model you choose. For example, our single story, 1,232 square foot model has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and costs $89,000 for our standard model. Our two story, 2,548 square foot model has 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, and costs $148,000 for our standard model. All of our models come standard with a very nice package of designer details. Stainless steel appliances, European cabinets, granite kitchen countertops, and complete flooring are all included at no additional cost. See the houses on our site for complete details. MAKE IT YOUR OWN. Although all our houses come standard with very nice features, you may choose to upgrade to one of our premium packages. Pick from high end kitchen appliances, premium flooring, under-cabinet lighting, and more. Your Field Team member will explain the extra costs of upgrades in complete detail. Prices of building materials can fluctuate, and may effect the overall cost of construction. But one thing is certain: once you pick your house and options, and our consultants review the condition of your lot, we will give you a price you can count on. When we move forward with a contract, there are no hidden fees. No surprises. No problem. |
