What does "lot preparation" mean?

In order to give you the most accurate price on preparing your lot for The New House Custom, experts inspect, assess and test the current condition of your lot. Quite a bit of effort goes into this process, and you can relax knowing that we'll handle it.

Civil engineering, soil investigation, utility consultation, environmental consultation, architectural consultation, and landscape architects all weigh in to create a more specific range for lot preparation.

Like all new home construction, the fees that are involved in lot preparation include development fees, demolition fees, drainage engineering fees, site plan engineering fees, sewer fees, water fees, transportation fees, building permits, and school fees. But we manage all of this.

After all of this planning and paperwork, we get busy on your lot. This includes removing the old house and all hazardous materials. We then perform rough grading and careful water and erosion control procedures. Finally, we complete finish grading and connection of all utilities including sewer, water, and electrical.

Now we're ready to build the foundation and The New House on your lot.
